Fitness and wellness classes have been my post-college preferred method of working out. In my prior life as a student, I was always a part of a sports or dance team where working out was built into my everyday life. Enter Classpass, a third party website linked to several studios and gyms in major cities across the US. Classpass allows you to try several different classes every month! They offer a wide range and variety of classes that will always keep your body guessing!
Cyc Fitness – spinning studios dot the city in all neighborhoods, this studio located in the David Barton Gym is like a rave on a bike. Equal parts cardio and strength training you will leave their classes feeling like you just attended a sweaty dance party!
Exhale – a well rounded venue that includes barre, yoga and sport classes. This serene studio chain is sure to give you a great workout and treat you to spa quality locker rooms post sweat shesh.
Pure Barre – love an opportunity to tap into old hobby of dancing. Pure Barre classes focus on lengthening and strengthening your muscles to achieve a lean, dancer physique.
Uptown Pilates – from a gal who has never done Pilates, especially not on a reformer (scary!), the beginner reformer class at this sleek, updated studio is a must!
Revolve New York City – a spin studio that offers 3 variations of classes that challenge you to stay within the RPM monitors. I like how you have a number to shoot for visible on a screen between your handlebars.
